'Black Country Polaroid' Latest:

Coming as something of a total mystery to the W.M.G.C....... we have just learned that the 'Birmingham Mail' newspaper has apparently run a further article that mentions the recent Blackheath poltergeist property / mystery polaroid matter that we've recently posted about below......

The article can be viewed via this LINK .

Following hot on the heels of developments mentioned immediately below this post, the matter concerned was kindly picked up by the 'Black Country Evening Mail' newspaper and an appeal for info. on the mystery photograph made therein: ARTICLE

As a direct result of this piece, the WMGC received an email yesterday from a woman who informs us that the trio featured in the photograph are her daughter, Son-In-Law and their first child who had previously lived at the address involved with the case.  The image concerned dates from some 17 yrs ago and was one of a pair that were taken at the time in question.  Sadly, the shot was lost down the rear of the fireplace in the living room of the property and viewed as irretrievable, etc.  The woman concerned has lindly supplied us with a shot of the 'other' polaroid taken at the time (shown above against the backdrop of the Birm. Mail article).

Needless to say - we are very thankful to the source concerned for contacting us and taking the time to explain the situation and so forth.  Having passed the data on to the people involved in the poltergeist case, a question has been raised as to 'why' the photograph concerned chose to basically 'wait 17 yrs' to put in an appearance again!?!  And how much of a coincidence would it take - as a naturally occurring event - to simply work free of its prison of almost 2 decades and quite randomly fall into the position it was discovered in.......?

A final note on the overall matter is the fact that the occupants of the property have grown weary of the activity experienced over recent weeks and - as of last Saturday (March 22nd) vacated the house for good.  It goes without saying that we wish them every joy - and absolute peace, of course - at their new address!

Firstly, we should like to say a big 'Thank You' to the parties concerned for allowing us to mention this data here.  The people involved in this affair would - understandably - like to remain completely anonymous in the matter, but, suffice it to say, the house concerned is a very modern structure, situated in the Blackheath region of the Black Country (West Midlands).

For the sake of brevity:  the W.M.G.C. were recently contacted by the person directly involved in this matter and informed of a 'haunting' scenario.  Two members of the group subsequently arranged a visit and went to the property on March 8th.  The householder is very level headed indeed about what has been occurring at their home.....  which is a very pleasant rarity (to find), it has to be stressed; they clearly hold no immediate 'fear' about what has been happening around them and very much treat the incidents concerned as an intriguing asides to everyday living in the property!  The bulk of the case would seem to fall into what would loosely be termed 'poltergeist-like' happenings - i.e. the manipulation / movement of objects; noises; electrical items manipulated / switched off, etc, and so on......

At the time of our visit, however, the activity within the house had been at something of a peak over the preceding 2 or so weeks.... culminating in the event mentioned below...... which is basically the incident that led the householder to 'take the matter further' and contact others about the happenings, etc.

The matter concerned occurred on Feb. 28th and basically went as follows: The occupant of the property and a friend were sitting talking in the living room of the house. As they had been writing and jotting down thoughts on a particular subject at the time, a note pad (that they had been using) was lying on the floor of the room.  Pausing for a coffee, both of the people concerned went into the nearby kitchen (at the same time) - made a drink - and walked back into the living room.  They now discovered that a polaroid photograph had been 'placed' on top of the note pad, situated on the floor! (See accompanying image).

Neither had ever seen the photograph previously and, as there was no one else in the house with them, they could not think of a rational explanation for the picture having suddenly 'appeared' in that position!?! They immediately checked around the room, but could not discover 'how' the photograph had possibly appeared under normal conditions!?

Needless to say, the appearance of this picture has caused a considerable 'mystery': Where could it have come from and 'why'? Who is the 'happy family' shown in the image..... and what is their potential role - if any, of course - in this ' haunting' scenario?
